In recent years, as global issues such as climate change, resource depletion, and human rights issues have become increasingly apparent, companies are expected to take proactive initiatives toward the realization of a sustainable society. Sharing the same visions and expectations, the Nagatanien Group recognizes it as part of its corporate social responsibility and is actively promoting its efforts to address these issues.

With its Sustainability Policy and Sustainability Committee, the Nagatanien Group has developed a framework to promote sustainability management across the Group.
The Sustainability Committee is responsible for formulating policies and plans and promoting initiatives to achieve our sustainability goals. The committee also incorporates initiatives such as reducing environmental impact, respecting human rights, and fostering thriving workplaces into its value chain—from product development and manufacturing to sales and consumption—to achieve these goals.

The Nagatanien Group has recognized key issues based on the SDGs, various international standards and food industry issues. After examining the impact of these issues on our business activities and on society, we have identified material issues as follows.
We consider addressing these material issues essential to the realization of a sustainable society and to the sustainable growth of the Nagatanien Group. In response to changes in the social and global environment, we will regularly review our material issues.
